Krzysztof Penderecki is one of the greatest Polish composers. He works with the most prominent artists. There are no boundaries for him. Penderecki received many „honoris causa” titles on universities around the world. The composer wrote several important pieces for contemporary music Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima (1959), Te Deum (1979/80), Concerto for Cello no. 2, Violin concerto no. 5 Metamorphosen”, operas e.g. Devils of Loudun, and many others.
