Krzysztof Chorzelski

Viola player, professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, a member and co-founder of the Belcea Quartet, with whom he has performed in prestigious concert halls (Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels). Both the quartet and the artist attach great importance to encouraging young quartets by organizing intensive courses in the UK, US, Poland and Israel. The Belcea Quartet has released dozens of recordings under the EMI Classics label and features chamber music from Mozart to Ades.

Jadwiga Rappé

One of the leading Polish contraltos of her generation. She graduated in Polish and Slavic Philology from the University of Warsaw; she was a student of Professor Zofia Brégy and a graduate of the Department of Vocal Music at K. Lipiński Music Academy in Wrocław in the class of Prof. Jerzy Artysz. She has been a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Musicians since 1977. In 2009, she was the artistic director of the “Łancuch ​​VI” festival, organized by the Witold Lutosławski Society. She was the Chair of the Board of the Witold Lutosławski Society from 2006-2009 and has also been the Chair of the Board of the Anna and Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz Museum in Stawisko since 2005. From 1995 to 2010 she was a lecturer at the Vocal Music Department at the Frederyk Chopin’s Association of State Music Schools and also at the Department of Vocal Music at the Frederyk Chopin Music University in Warsaw. She has also organised a number of outstanding concerts with the students of the Academy of Music. She has been a jury member at many auditions and vocal competitions in Poland and abroad. She was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit and won prizes at the International Bach Competition in Leipzig in 1980 and the Competition for Young Soloists in Bordeaux in 1981. Jadwiga Rappé has performed widely in leading concert halls and opera houses of Europe, the USA, Canada and Japan. She has also performed at most of Poland’s important cultural centres as well as in smaller towns. In total, she has performed in close to 2,000 concerts.

Maciej Frąckiewicz

Maciej Frąckiewicz is the winner of one of the world’s most prestigious accordion competitions – XX Arrasate Hiri International Competition in Spain (2012). In 2013, he won Polityka magazine’s ‘Passport’ award. In 2012, he graduated with honours from the Fryderyk Chopin University in Warsaw in the accordion class of Professor K. Baran and studied under Professor G. Stopa at the 2014 Konzertexamen in HFM in Detmold, Germany. Under the Socrates – Erasmus programme he studied at ESMUC in Barcelona in the class of I. Alberdi. He works closely with composers, among others, Krzysztof Penderecki, for whom he has premiered more than 60 works.
